Don't Be Afraid!

Dear praying partners in the Lord,

Thank you for being with us in the ministry for so many years. You have seen our ups and downs and you continue to show your support to us. I know that you are doing it for the Lord and we are grateful for that. You are indeed a blessing to us through your prayers and financial support. We just want to share with you what the Lord has been doing in us.

Don’t Be Afraid! 

Christmas is the time for us to release our fears.

What are the things you’re worried about?  The economy?  Your health?  Your bills? Your kids? Are you worried about the future? The fact is there are lots of reasons to be afraid in today’s world, but God's message at Christmastime is “Don't be afraid!” 

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid.” Luke 2:10 (NIV)

Release your anxieties; let go of your fears.

Do you know that there are 365 verses in the Bible that say, “Fear not.” God provided us with one ‘fear not’ message for every day of the year! God is simply saying, “Get the message.  Don't be afraid!”

Effective Prayer—Being Specific

I was so encourage after reading this devotion and so I wanted to share it with you.

“He wanted us to understand how important it is to be specific when we ask something of God.  Bartimaeus’ faith had to become specific before it made him well.  It was after he said, ‘Lord, that I might receive my sight,’ that Jesus said, ‘Your faith has made you well.’”

Being specific in what you request of God is the first key to effective prayer. “The Lord has blessed me so much. I was again asked by my doctor to participate in the study on researching the cure of lupus. I wanted to pass this screening so that I will have the medicines for free.  Second, that I could be a part in the discovery of the cure is really a big deal for me because I know the pain brought by this sickness so I am really on it. But, whatever the Lord wills, I will submit to Him. I know that His ways are better than mine. That God will continue to provide all my medical needs if ever I will be granted this opportunity or not because He has proven Himself to be faithful in so many ways.

By the way, thank you for all your prayers in our family. It strengthens us and encourages us to continue to serve Him.~Eis

NCCF News

God did history in the church. His faithfulness in providing our needs, comforts in times of distress, the rescue we've been experiencing every time we felt overwhelmed with a lot of difficulties. Yes, those are the things that encourages us to continue what He'd started in us.

He blessed us the church building we are in right now. He blessed us, that the owner allowed us to have the rights in credit basis. He made history in providing for our church. And that causes us to trust in Him more. We are looking forward for the things He will do for us to really own the lot. We are really hopeful to God that He will continue to provide our financial needs. Right now, we are preparing for Christmas carols to help raise the fund. Please continue to help us pray and support us in this project.

It is really nice to know that our small groups have been doing a great impact in the lives of each member and in the life of the other people in our neighborhood. We had the privilege of showing God's love when we did a project to help 5 families that had been affected by the recent fire in our community. Even in our financial difficulties we were able to give them a grocery package. Praise God for that.

Church Leadership Training, Rizal Re-Creational Center

Some of our members attended the Church Leadership Training in Rizal, Laguna last October 18-21. We learned a lot of things and we are thankful that our youth became aware that evangelism should be a way of life. So blessed to hear their testimony that they are now sharing their faith to their classmates and co-workers intentionally and if the Lord opens an opportunity. To God be the glory!!!

Blessed to be a Blessing

We just got back from a 2 day mission trip at Sta. Fe, Zambales a 5 hour drive from Manila. We conducted Purpose Driven Life seminar at Good News Christian Church with 4 other churches joining us. We've experience God's goodness as we trust Him for our finances, for His protections and for His strength.

Here's what the Lord taught me during that 2 day mission trip, I hope you'll take the "God-First" challenge.

A devotion from Purpos Driven Connection:

"Jesus said to his followers, 'Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone'" (Mark 16:15 NCV).

People with "me-first" faith ask, "How can God make my life more comfortable?" They want to use God for their purposes instead of being used for His purposes.

"God-first" believers know they've been saved to serve and made for mission. They're eager to receive a personal assignment and excited about the privilege of being used by God.

Their joy, confidence, and enthusiasm are contagious because they know they're making a difference. They wake up each morning expecting God to work through them in fresh ways.

Which type of believer do you want to be?

God invites you to participate in the greatest, largest, most diverse, and most significant cause in history—building his kingdom. History is His story; He's building His family for eternity. Nothing matters more and nothing will last as long.

From the book of Revelation we know God's global mission will be accomplished, that someday the Great Commission will be the great completion. In heaven, an enormous crowd of people "from every race, tribe, nation, and language" will one day stand before Jesus Christ to worship Him (Revelation 7:9 CEV).

Becoming a "God-first" believer will allow you to experience in advance a little of what heaven will be like.
